Artist Statement

Hi, I am Jeanette, a textile artist, designer maker and teacher, specialising in surface print (screen-printing, digital print) and embroidery.

My work explores patterns and textures using mark making techniques.  My designs incorporate a range of print making techniques including breakdown screen-printing, dyeing and mark making.

I am inspired by nature’s patterns, textures and marks. My creative practice explores the juxtapositions that exist in the natural world where organic and structure meet, particularly when these are in the urban environment.
